What problem does Cartroute solve?
The same product sells at very different prices across stores, and the sticker price is not what a shopper pays. For an identical item, the gap between the cheapest and dearest retailer can run to hundreds of dollars. Getting that right requires things an agent cannot do reliably on its own: searching several stores at once, recognising the same product in each of them, and adding shipping before comparing.
How does Cartroute get its data?
When a search arrives, Cartroute queries Amazon, Best Buy and eBay through a retail search data provider, keeps in-stock fixed-price listings (labelling each one new, renewed, refurbished, open-box or used), groups the same product across stores by model number and brand, and records each day's prices.
